The Word Exposed featuring Bishop Chito Tagle is an hour-long program that showcases Bishop Tagle in his true form as preacher and homilist. Here, Bishop Tagle shares his reflections and insights on the Sunday scriptures — the first and second readings and the Sunday Gospel — in a manner that is very down-to-earth, crystal clear, awe-inspiring, and yet very simple to understand and appreciate. This program aims to bring the teachings of the Word closer to the lives of audiences. The Word Exposed airs every Sunday, 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. on TV5.
My experienced in the corporate world told me not to be a humble servant because my superiors gave me tasks that were beyond my “duties and responsibilities” (nang-aabuso). I sometimes worked overtime without any reciprocated compensation. I did their personal errands. By doing all these, I was not able to have quality time with my family and myself. I felt I was in a fast lane and could not even “smell the roses”. So, father, with great respect, how would you reconcile this? Being a humble servant and at the same time would not feel that others are abusing me. Or is it a contradiction of terms? Or is it by being a humble servant that gives them a way to abuse me? Because if this is the case, I think this is not healthy in building a community. Thank you and more power to your program. Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteBishop you are right! Our life first must be a testimony to our brethren and we should really share our faith to those who needs to be ministered, helping, sharing and loving to those who persecuted us.
